Menu Plan: Leaving nothing to spoil!

 

 

 

We leave on vacation soon! I am so, so, SO excited to be heading out to frolick on the beach. It’s been a long school year and I am more than ready to leave it all behind for a little while before resuming the madness that is summer “break.” I know many of you know what I’m talking about– swimming lessons, church camp, summer reading, karate, gymnastics, etc, etc… it doesn’t always feel like a break!

 

But the beach is calling and we are going. Hooray!

 

In these days leading up to that, however, the name of the game is:

Use up all perishable fridge items.

 

I wrote my menu plan to that end and, though it’s not thrilling, it should get the job done:

Sunday: (Father’s Day!!!)

B– Cereal, Apples, Milk (for the littles, before 7:30am Mass)

 

L–Fried Potato Skillets w/ Ham, Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, & Cheese, Mixed Fruit, Juice

D–Penne with Crab in a White Wine & Swiss Cheese Sauce (<– someday I’ll share that recipe and tell you all the funny story that goes with it)

 

Monday:

B– PB Toast, Mixed Fruit, Milk

 

D–Pepper Jack Sausage & Rice Burritos w/ Salsa, Carrots

 

Tuesday:

B–Cereal, Fruit, Milk

D–One Pot Chicken Lo Mein 

 

 

Wednesday: (last day of school!)

B–Egg & Cheese Breakfast Burritos, Nectarines

D–English Muffin Pizzas, Peas (date night)

 

Thursday:

B–Smoothies, Cereal

D–Cheese Pizza, Broccoli (yes, pizza again– it’ll be okay :) )

 

Friday: (my birthday)

B–Cinnamon Rolls, Eggs w/ Broccoli & Cheese

D–Lasagna, Spinach, Broccoli, Salad– I love all green things, I think!

 

Saturday:

 

B–Breakfast Burritos

D–Clear out the fridge!!
