Menu Plan: The One With Food Dye

It’s that time of week! The Tuesday menu plan is back again this week… :)

Brrrr… unlike last week, this one’s off to a chilly start, but I suppose that’s to be expected. I mean, it IS still winter, after all. I think we all forget that sometimes. (Just like we forget that most of September is, in fact, SUMMER, not Fall.)

My kids eagerly watched me unpack the groceries on Saturday morning and there were cries of joy when I pulled out a pound of shrimp. Honestly, I wish shrimp weren’t so pricey– I’d buy it a lot more frequently! As it is, we’ll look forward to our “fancy” pizza this Friday and I’ll keep watching for sales.

And, now, here’s the plan for this week!

Sunday:

Breakfast– Cereal, Apples, Milk (for the littles, before 7:30AM Mass)

migas

Brunch– Migas

D– Sunday Supper at B & P’s– Boiled Dinner (Ham, Cabbage, Rutabaga, Carrots, Dumplings… it was Ireland and Germany had a mash-up. And it was all good. ;) )

Monday:

B–Egg Wrap, Apple Slices, Milk (I tinted the eggs and milk green– yes, yes, food dye… I KNOW. Blessedly, our kids do not appear to be sensitive to the stuff and they were so, so, SO delighted. It’s worth it to me to do those things sometimes. :) )

D –Sausage & Mushroom Bagel Pizzas, Salad

Tuesday:

B–Toast, Yogurt & Fruit

D–Beef & Bean Burritos, Beef & Rice Burritos, Salad

Wednesday:
