Because I appear to be the rebel who doesn’t publish her meal plan on Sunday or Monday...
Brrr… what a brisk morning! Lest you think I’m exaggerating, check out my Facebook page and you can see where my breath formed frost in my (brunette!) hair.
Now that my fingers are thawing out, though, I can get back to the business at hand– sharing the plan!
This week has some simple, comforting food on the schedule and THREE of the meals are slow-cooker fare, making it even easier on these oft busy, always cold days.
Here’s what we’ve eaten and what we’ll be eating, best as I can predict!
Breakfast– Cereal, Fruit, Milk (for the littles, before 7:30AM Mass)
Brunch– Skillets with fried potatoes, onions, chopped broccoli, scrambled egg, and cheese sauce. (These were a huge hit and a ginormous pan full cost me right around $4 to make– yay!)
D– Sunday Supper at Bama & Papa’s (We had grilled burgers, dogs, baked beans, mac & cheese– picnic type fare. What a treat during this winter weather!)
B–PB Toast, Cantaloupe, Milk
D–Sesame Chicken over Rice (<– this didn’t happen last week; we had spaghetti instead that night!)
B–PB, Chocolate, and Dried Cherry Oatmeal, Milk
D–Tomato Tortellini Soup w/ Mixed Veggies, Bread Sticks
B–English Muffin Pizzas, Milk
D–Cheesy PEAS and Rice (My kids like this almost as much as Cheesy BEANS and Rice.)– date night
B–Creamsicle Oatmeal, Milk (<– oatmeal recipe is in my oatmeal ebook, still available to subscribers, since I’m apparently forgetful and haven’t removed it)
D–Chicken Italiano, Pasta, Green Breans
B–Orange Blackberry Smoothies, Toast
D–Double Cheddar Ham Pizza (for kids), [later on-- Bacon-wrapped Filet Mignon, Fettucine Alfredo w/ Crab, and Roasted Cauliflower for our Valentine's meal together]
B–Cinnamon Sugar Oven Pancake, Sausage Links, Oranges
D–Mac & Cheese w/ Ham, Corn
So that’s the plan around here! I’m so glad we got to eat that Sesame Chicken last night. That’s such a good one. That’s one of those dishes where my husband’s coworkers are always way-impressed with his leftovers for lunch.
