Shopping List for 5 Fall Meals from 5 Pork Chops

 

 

If you’re ready to make five distinctive, delicious pork recipes that will help you stretch your meat without feeling deprived, let’s get shopping, okay?

 

 

In addition to five bone-in pork chops, here are the other ingredients you’ll need to have on hand in order to make all the recipes included in this series:

 

Dairy:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 12 oz. sharp cheddar (white or yellow– either is fine)

 

Produce:

  • 2 apples
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1  bunch broccoli
  • 5 large carrots
  • 1 lime
  • 2 small white or yellow onions
  • 1 red onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 pound potatoes

 

From the aisles:

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 12 oz. vermicelli (thin spaghetti) or linguine
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle chips
  • 2 tablespoons grainy mustard
  • 1/2 rice, brown or white, whatever you prefer
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup salsa verde/ green taco sauce
  • 8 flour tortillas, soft taco or burrito size

 

Pantry staples (baking/spice aisle):

  • approx. 4  cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons corn meal
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • approx. 3 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1/4 cup (or so) olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • parsley
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • oregano
  • red pepper flakes
  • chili powder
  • thyme
  • sage
