Do you remember Minute to Win It? Remember how fun it was to watch people make fools of themselves in an effort to complete silly challenges before a minute was up? My husband and I used to laugh our heads off at some of the contestants– either that, or talk smack about how we were sure we could do a much better job of it. Ha!
Well… great news! The Game Show Network (GSN) is bringing Minute to Win It back to TV and it will be hosted by speed skating champion Apolo Anton Ohno. Each one-hour episode features competitors facing up to 10 challenges that escalate in level of difficulty using everyday household items. Each game has a one-minute time limit and failure to finish the task on time may result in elimination.
I was super excited to see the sneak peek of Minute to Win It featuring host Apolo Anton Ohno, one of the most decorated American athletes of all time. All new episodes of Minute to Win It premiere June 25 at 8/7c only on GSN. For more information, connect with Minute to Win It on Facebook and Twitter, and visit the GSN website.
Truth? We don’t watch a ton of TV. But what we DO watch tends to be funny, highly entertaining, and family-friendly. Minute to Win It fills all those requirements. Proof that it’s fun for the whole family? Why, sure. I’ve got that. My family– Bama and Papa included– got together to test out some of these silly and challenging little games.
First up? Junk in the Trunk. Who do you think was best at shaking those balls out of the tissue box, hmm? Clue: those with flatter backsides had the most success. This rules me out, ahem…
Ah, yes. Defying Gravity. Do you have any idea how challenging it is to keep multiple balloons in the air at once?? My parents were both remarkably good at this one.
(We may have lowered the required number of balloons for the three-year-old set.)
So what was I good at? A Bit Dicey. The challenge is to balance six dice on a popsicle stick in your mouth. People? I got eight. Of course, I have no photo evidence of that. So you’re going to have to trust me. Or call my mom.
Every. Second. Counts. Catch all new episodes of MInute to Win It with new host Apolo Ohno all summer long on GSN.
