Menu Plan: Spring? Spring? Where ARE you?


It is still so very cold here. I’ve been walking in temps in the low 20s each morning and watching flurries drift by my windows.




I don’t want to fuss too much, but, oh, I crave warmer air and the ability to get out in my garden! I also don’t relish freezing my way through baseball practice this week. Brrrr…



In the meantime, we still need to eat, right? Here’s what’ll be hittin’ the table:



Breakfast (for the littles before 7:30am Mass)–Organic Cheerio-type cereal, Applesauce

BrunchScrambled Eggs w/ Bacon, Oranges, Toast

Snack–Popcorn and Yogurt

D–??? (not sure at this moment in time, but we’ll work it out!)



B–Tropical Oatmeal, Milk

D–Hot & Sour Peanut Noodles w/ Broccoli & Chicken



B–Carrot Bread, Oranges


D–Tomato Macaroni Soup, Italian Cheese Bread



B–Carrot Bread, Apples, Milk


D–Bleu Cheese Ranch Turkey Burgers, Carrot Sticks



B–Peppermint White Mocha Oatmeal, Clementines, Milk (recipe in oatmeal ebook available to all subscribers!)

D–Grilled Cheese, Apples (date night for us!)



B–Strawberry OJ Smoothie, Toasted Sourdough

D–Taco Ranch Cheddar Pizza



B–Cinnamon Streusel Pancakes, Sausage Links, Mixed Fruit

D–Batter-Dipped Chicken Sandwiches, Mixed Veggies


*All Friday pizzas for the next six weeks will be meatless in keeping with our Catholic tradition of meatless Fridays during Lent.
