I’ve never done one of these “word of the year” things before. Quite frankly, much like resolutions, it seems most of them fade to nothingness by January 31st. I know that’s a cynical way of looking at it but, well, it’s what I’ve observed…
I am choosing a word this year.
I am choosing a word that makes me think of joy, lightness, and the perpetual ability to rise to the top…
I am choosing a word that is changeable and speedy and multi-faceted because, if I didn’t, I’d never be able to fulfill it…
I am choosing a word that brings delight to the senses and nearly explodes with happy bubbly-ness…
I am choosing a word that can also be shattered and fall flat if not nurtured properly. This means I will have to work hard to take care of myself to maintain it…
The word I am choosing is positively delightful to say and imagine. I absolutely love the way it feels on my tongue…
My word for 2013 is…
Effervescent.
