Menu Plan: 9/30 — Local Produce Abounds!

 

 

Oh, happy day… we’re all healthy! Well, we’re still in the midst of crazy antibiotics (coupled with crazy PRObiotics) to help our son recover from Lyme’s Disease and heal his heart, but the vomit and “booty sickness” have left the building– hooray!!

 

October arrives this week and this is one of my very, very favorite months of all. Here’s what we’ll be eating:

 

 

Sunday

B: Cheerios, Apples, Milk

Lunch: Cheese Pizza, Cantaloupe, Pineapple

D: Fried Flounder, Oven Fries, Carrots & Broccoli

 

Monday

B: Apple Crumble Oatmeal, Milk

D: Hot & Sour Peanut Noodles w/ Carrots & Peppers

 

Tuesday

B: Toasted Broa w/ PB, Nectarines, Milk

D: Grilled Cheese, Sweet Potato Fries

 

Wednesday

 

B: Toasted Broa w/ PB, Apples

D: Pesto Chicken & Tortellini w/ diced Tomatoes

 

Thursday

B: Zucchini Bread w/ butter, Apples, Milk

D: Eggplant Parm, Pasta

 

Friday

B: Smoothies, Zucchini Bread

D: Jalapeno & Meatball Pizza (“Dat’s a spicy meatball!”)

 

Saturday

B: Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Bagel Sandwiches

L: Mac & Cheese, Jello

D: Chicken, Spinach, & Cheese Tortilla Roll-Ups

 

 

Yum! With the exception of the pineapple, every single fruit or veggie served up this week is from our CSA. Love that!
