Menu Plan: 9/24 — Six pounds lighter! (not by choice :( )


Oh. My. Word.


Last week just about killed me. It brought me to my knees, no doubt.


We kicked it off on Monday with an early morning call from the pediatrician letting us know that the results from our son’s EKG were so worrisome, the cardiologist wanted to see us ASAP.


Then both girls spent the ENTIRE night up vomiting, while I handed buckets back and forth.


The next day? The tummy bug hit me, and I hit a new low as I both left my three-year-old to run down two flights of stairs at the library to be ill and, later, wretched in a plastic sack in a parking lot. Yeah. Good times.


The day after that? Should have been my due date. Instead, I was up to my ears in laundry and a sick hubby.


And, finally, it was Friday. Ahhh….


Wait. The youngest has diarrhea.


So, there you go. Seriously. It was a BAD week.


But, it’s a new week and we all appear healthy again! I’m down six pounds from the horrible, awful, no good, very bad day and I don’t really want to be. Here’s what I’m serving up this week as I wait for my appetite to return in earnest…



B: Cheerios, Applesauce (for the kiddos, before 7:30am mass)

Brunch: Cinnamon Roll Bread in < 30 minutes, Scrambled Eggs w/ Cheese, Nectarines

Snack: Taco Bell (shhhh, don’t fuss at me… hubby requested it)

D:┬áSunday Supper at Bama & Papa’s (seafood crepes, salad, green beans, fruit, Reeses peanut butter bars)




B: Carrot Bread, Yogurt, Milk

L: Leftovers

D: Leftover Chicken & Broccoli Asiago Lasagna



B: PB Raisin Toast, OJ

D: Fajitas w/ rainbow peppers (today is my husband’s birthday, but he has refused to provide a meal request yet… so this may change ;))



B: Strawberry Wheat Muffins, Cheese, Water

D: Chicken & Rose Romano’s Marinara w/ peppers over Pasta



B: Strawberry Wheat Muffins, Nectarines, Milk

D: Chicken & Veggie Stir-Fry w/ Brown Rice (I have red peppers, carrots, yellow peppers, broccoli, and red onion all prepped for this– it’s like a rainbow in a bag!!) <– this didn’t happen last week



B: Strawberry Melon Smoothies, Toast

D: Veggie Pizza



B: Homemade Donuts, Fruit, Cheese

L:Chicken Noodles, Jello, Carrots

D:Carnitas Soft Tacos
