Road trip! Those two words just make me smile. I’ve always loved exploring and travelling and seeing new places. When I hear about people who’ve never seen the ocean… or never crossed the Mississippi… or never left the country… well, I just can’t imagine. There’s not one thing wrong with not travelling, of course, but I am ever-so-grateful it’s always been a part of my life.
Admittedly, I’d rather ride than drive. I’m a horrible poster-child for the “independent woman” because I much prefer to kick my feet up on the dash and put myself in the hands of a competent, confident male. (Is it horrible to confess that? I can’t help it– it’s the total truth.) I’ve happily ridden alongside my now-husband in everything from a ’68 Camaro to my Kia Sedona minivan. Times change, friends. When we learned we would be having a third baby, way back in 2009, we realized that we needed (or, at the very least, really WANTED) more space. Having kiddos certainly hasn’t stopped us from going places; our little ones saw sixteen states in the span of two weeks last fall. It’s nice to have some room to move when you’re going to be road-tripping!
While we opted to go the minivan route for our last vehicle, I have to admit I’m happy to see that there are other options that would work for a family our size. For those who might balk at driving a minivan, the Kia Sorento is a crossover with advanced technology, sporty styling, and a spacious interior– making it more appealing, perhaps, to the masses. Assembled in the USA, the Kia Sorento offers versatility and VIP room. And those who’ve been out comparing new vehicle costs will appreciate the starting price of just over $23,000. With so many families leading busy, active lives, it’s nice to see an option to accommodate a variety of space and comfort needs. (And I’m thinking my neighbor who ducks his head when driving their family’s minivan might appreciate the sportier styling of a crossover!) We love hittin’ the road and exploring this great country of ours.
Whether you’re the driver or the passenger, it’s great to have a ride that makes you happy and comfortable while out on a road trip!

Its price. It’s surprisingly affordable.
