In Which JessieLeigh Winds Up Dirty & Stinky (review & giveaway)

I had a ridiculously busy (but fun!) weekend. We went from a baseball game to a duck conservatory to a hike through the woods. We ran errands and spent an entire day at a picnic and an amusement park. I don’t mind admitting that I collapsed on my kitchen floor when we finally got home Sunday evening.

Also? I was plenty dirty, sweaty, and germ-y after all that. I mean– seriously. Are there any bigger germ pits than amusement parks? Throw in hay rides, sitting in a field for a falcon show, spending several hours at a dusty ball-field and, oh yeah, going for a HIKE through the forest and you were looking at one disgusting JessieLeigh.

I was more than happy to find NEW Dove® VisibleCare™ Toning Crème Body Wash with NutriumMoisture™ in my mailbox! I was so, so ready to just get washed up, but the thought of taking that experience up a notch was absolutely appealing! The idea of not just clean skin, but also visibly more beautiful skin from a body wash? Sign me up!

I told my family they’d see me in a while. ;)

The gist of it is this: this is a revolutionary new line of products from Dove® and contains the highest level of NutriumMoisture™ across their whole portfolio. This is what enables the body wash to leave you with visibly more beautiful skin in just one week.

The proof, they say, is in the pudding. Or, in my opinion, in the mousse, in this case. Dove® describes the consistency of this new body wash line as “crème”, and I guess that’s apt… but I think it’s even more than that. I was immediately struck by the thick lightness of it; it totally reminded me of a rich, creamy, but decadently light mousse. And, for me, that’s a fabulous consistency for a product this time of year!

I was also pleased with the light, sweet scent of Dove® VisibleCare™ Toning Crème Body Wash. I can be fussy about some aromas and find a few of them purely nauseating (I’m looking at you Coconut Lime Verbena), but I’m not ready to go TOTALLY unscented when it comes to my skin care. This product contained a nice, soothing level of fragrance– enough to make my shower enjoyable, but not so much that it was clinging to me for the whole day following.

In conclusion? My skin is soft, smooth, and rather pretty-looking. I also smell much better. Thanks, Dove®.
