Menu Plan: 6/17 – Ravioli for my birthday!

Well, I did it! I stuck to a Norwegian/German menu plan all last week. I’ll write a whole post about my take-aways from that but, for now, let me just leave it at this:

I am SO sick of fish. Also? Potatoes. Sick of them!!!!

So, this week, other fare is making its way back into the plan, and I am so excited to have rice, pasta, and tortillas back in my world. My birthday is this week and I plan on gorging on ravioli… I have mad-love for cheese-filled pasta.

Here’s what we’re serving up!

Sunday

B: Cheerios, Applesauce, Milk (for the kiddos, before Mass)

Brunch: Ham, Egg, & Cheese Pockets, Strawberries, Apple Juice

Lunch: Trail Mix and Apples out on the trail

D: He STILL hasn’t told me. Shrimp? Pork? I’ll make whatever he wants. :)

Monday

B: Tea & Crumpets Oatmeal, Apples, Milk

D: Hay Stacks w/ lettuce from the garden

Tuesday

B: Candy Shop Oatmeal, Milk (It’s our first day of summer break! Time to celebrate!)

D: Tater Tot Casserole, Green Beans

Wednesday

And that’s the plan around here!

–  I have completed my week of this project, but there’s still time to join in!–

** Fun project alert!!**   In June, I will be experimenting by eating only foods native to those countries from which my ancestors come– in my case, Norway and Germany– for one week.  I already have a few adventurous souls who will be joining me in trying this out.  I’m calling it “Eating by Ancestry.”  Interested?  I would LOVE to have you participate (and to add you to our Pinterest group board, if you’d like)!  Leave me a comment or drop me an email.  Or comment on this FB post (more details can be found there, as well):
