Menu Plan: 1/8 – Yuck to Mashed Potatoes

Ah… so happy that we had such lovely holidays, but also that things are settling down a bit.  It’s been a very mild winter so far here in New England I am SO GLAD.  I would happily take these 40 and 50 degree days with no snow right into Spring.  (Sorry, snow-lovers.  If there’s even a chance that a snowfall would knock our power out– I don’t want it.  Nine days was enough, thankyouverymuch.)

Here’s what’s hittin’ the table around here:

Breakfast- Cereal, Applesauce, Milk

Lunch-Choc Chip Waffles, Sausage Links, Pineapple

Dinner-Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Broccoli

B-Apple Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal, Milk
L-P,B,&J, Clementines, Pretzels, Water
D-Roasted Chicken, Glazed Carrots, Mashed Potatoes (gag.  I truly detest mashed potatoes.)

B-Strawberry Shortbread, Cheese, Juice
L-Tuna, Crackers, Jello, HB Egg, Water

B-Strawberry Shortbread, Apples, Milk
L-Tuna, Crackers, Jello, HB Egg, Water

B-PB Raisin Toast, Milk
L-Buttered Macaroni & Peas, String Cheese, Water
D-Chicken Tortilla Soup, Cheese Quesadillas

B-Honey Banana Smoothies, Apples
L-Cheesy Beans & Rice, Raisins, Water
D-Salsa Chicken Pizza

B-Ham, Egg, and Cheese Bagel Sandwiches, Fruit
D-Cheese & Beef Lasagna Skillet, Green Beans

Great news– I can eat again!   Yes, it was a sad, sad thing that I was unable to eat anything from Christmas Eve to New Years Eve without dealing with extreme pain and discomfort :(  I’m good now, though, and very, very grateful for it!!

You may have noticed that I don’t like potatoes much.  How about you?  Love ‘em?  Hate ‘em?  Take or leave ‘em?  (for the record, I do like fries)
