Menu Plan: 12/25 – Christmas Break

It’s Christmas break!  And, since the combination of a friend birthday party, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and a family birthday party have left me fairly worn out, I am so glad!

Here’s what I’m planning for this week off from school:

Breakfast- Snacks by the tree (the children’s stockings contained grape Juicy Juice boxes and Honey Kix cereal bowls this year– very exciting stuff ;) )

Lunch-Scrambled Eggs w/ cheese, Cinnamon Rolls, Clementines (aka “baby oranges)

Dinner- I had planned on making Seafood Crepes.  Alas, after battling a fever Christmas Eve, I was still feeling weak.  Hubby picked up Chinese food.

B-Baked Omelet w/ Ham & Cheese, Pineapple, Milk (in a rare stroke of genius, I saved all the cheese sandwich “scraps” from C’s party and used those in this dish- perfect!)
L-Leftovers, Water
D-C’s family party!  She chose the menu: Macaroni & Cheese w/ hot dogs, Peas, Apple Slices, Baked Beans, Chocolate Chip Cookie “Cake”

B-Leftover Cinnamon Rolls, Apples, Milk
L-Chicken & Rice, Carrots, Juice
D-Hot & Sour Peanut Noodles w/ Chicken & Broccoli

B-Cinnamon Craisin Oatmeal, Milk
L-Cheese Tortilla Roll-Ups, Peas, Water
D-Mushroom Swiss Patty Melts, Baked Beans, Corn

B-PB Raisin Toast, Milk
L-Buttered Macaroni & Peas, String Cheese, Water
D-Tomato Tortellini Soup, Breadsticks

B-Smoothies, Toast
D-Meatball Pizza

B-Breakfast Burritos, Fruit
L-Stuffed Meatball Sandwiches w/ caramelized onions

And that should do it!  I am hoping very much that I will recover completely from whatever bug took hold of me on Christmas Eve– I need my energy if I’m ever going to beat my husband at Just Dance 3!

Are you on break this week?  Anything fun on the agenda?
