Menu Plan: 12/11 – Ah, Bleu Cheese

Anytime a menu plan contains bleu cheese, I am one happy, happy girl.  When my husband and I go to Aldi together (once a month), we tend to give one another $5 of “discretionary” spending with which we can choose whatever snacks/indulgences we like.  He?  Always gets olives.  I?  Always get bleu cheese.  We are predictable.  We are also always very happy with our selections. :)

Here’s what’s hittin’ the table!

Early Breakfast for the littles-Cereal, Apple Slices, Juice (before 7:30am mass)

Brunch-Breakfast Burritos, Mango

Mid-Afternoon Snack- Cake & Coffee after the Christmas Pageant
D-??? (Just keeping it real– that’s exactly what it says on my menu plan right now.)

B-Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal, Milk
L-PB&J Sandwiches, Raisins, Pretzels, Water
D-Orzo w/ Sausage & Mushrooms

B-Lemon Coffee Cake, Cheese, Juice
L-Mini Pizza Bites, Apples, Water
D-Taco Mac & Cheese, Corn

B-Lemon Coffee Cake, Applesauce, Milk
L-Mini Pizza Bites, Carrot Sticks, Water
D-Turkey Burgers w/ Apples & Bleu Cheese, Peas

B-PB Raisin Toast, Milk
L-Buttered Macaroni & Peas, String Cheese, Water
D-Homemade Tomato Soup, Grilled Cheese

B-Orange Cream Smoothies, fruit
D-Ham & Mushroom Pizza

B-Chocolate Buttermilk Bread, HB Eggs, fruit
L-Swiss Cheese & Broccoli Roll-ups
D-Roast Chicken, Carrots, Rice

I’m looking forward to having the leftovers from the roast chicken to help simplify next week.  It’s going to be a busy (though fun!) one.  That chicken will come in handy!  What’s a meal you like to make that pretty much guarantees fabulous leftovers?
