Menu Plan: 10/9 – Lazy, lazy, lazy


Goodness, gracious, I’ve gone and made myself hopelessly lazy.  I had cinnamon rolls on my menu plan again for Sunday brunch.  But then Saturday started passing me by… we went for a nice family walk and picked out our pumpkins at a neighboring farm.  We had lazed the morning away all piling on our big bed.  It was lovely!  But, well, not what you’d call productive.  If you know me at all, you know that, as it gets later and later in the day, I become progressively less motivated.  Cinnamon rolls suddenly sounded daunting.  And so?  I reached for my Cinnamon Roll Bread in Less Than 30 Minute recipe yet again.  Hooray for short-cuts!


Here’s how the week’s shaping up:



Early Breakfast for the littles-Cereal, Applesauce, Milk (before 7:30am mass)

Brunch-Cinnamon Roll Bread in <30 Minutes, Sausage Patties, Fruit
Mid-Afternoon Snack-Nachos
D-Sunday Supper at Bama & Papa’s


B-Banana Oatmeal w/ a swirl of homemade Blackberry Jam, Milk
L-Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Apples, Water
D-Hard-Shell Beef Tacos w/ all the fixins


B-Zucchini Bread, Apples, Milk
L-Sausage Link & Cheese Wrap, Orange Slices, Water
D-Lasagna Casserole, Broccoli


B-Zucchini Bread, Cheese, Juice
L-HB Eggs, Pretzels, Apples, Water
D-Chili Dogs, Corn


B-PB Raisin Toast, Milk
L-Buttered Mac & Peas, Water
D-Cheddar Broccoli Soup, Bread Sticks (or I might try my hand at bread bowls… anyone have a fool-proof recipe?  Share it in the comments, please!)


B-Cocoa Banana Smoothies, Apples
D-Sausage & Pepper Pizza


B-Waffles, Strawberries, Milk
L-Mac & Cheese, Oranges, Water
D-Hot & Sour Peanut Noodles w/ Chicken & Carrots


And that’ll do it around here!  Lots of comfort food in there– soup, chili, casserole.  What are you serving up for these Fall evenings?
