Menu Plan: 10/30 – Jack O’ Lantern Burgers

Happy Halloween!   I’m not at all a fan of the scary, greedy, creepy side of the holiday, but I can totally get onboard for some pumpkins, mums, and crunchy leaves!  When I was a little girl, my mom always made Jack O’ Lantern Burgers (regular burgers with cheese shapes that the children can use to make faces) for our Halloween supper.  The tradition lives on in my little family. :)

Here’s what I’m serving up as we transition into November:

Early Breakfast for the littles-Cereal, Yogurt, Juice (before 7:30am mass)

Brunch-Cinnamon Roll Bread in <30 minutes, Sausage Links, Fruit
Mid-Afternoon Snack-Nachos
D-Sunday Supper at Bama & Papa’s

B-Maple Raisin Oatmeal, Milk
L-P, B, & J, Apples, Pretzels, Water
D-Jack O’ Lantern Burgers (see above), Pickles

B-Applesauce Muffins, Cheese, Juice
L-Mexican Beans & Macaroni, Water
D-Pizza Omelets, Toast, Fruit

B-Applesauce Muffins, Berries, Milk
L-HB Egg, Apple Slices, Pretzels, Water
D-Pigs in Blankets, Carrot Sticks, Mandarin Oranges

B-PB Raisin Toast, Milk
L-Buttered Macaroni & Peas, String Cheese, Water

Do you have any Halloween meal traditions in your family?
