Menu Plan: 9/4 – An Earned Reward

Around here, we’re big advocates of the “Star Chart”.  Our kids seem to really rise to the occasion when there are star stickers involved.  Recently, our six year old has taken on the responsibility of feeding and watering the cat.  It’s very cute to see how he bounds out of bed each morning to rush downstairs and ensure her bowls are full.  Two weeks of fulfilling that responsibility earned him a toy of his choice at the dollar store.  A couple days ago, he completed four weeks.  His reward?  A taco feast.  I love how easily delighted my kiddos are! :)

And there it is!  I must admit that I cringed as I made my way through Aldi this past week… it seemed like so many prices had gone up since just a month ago!  Still, we came in only five dollars higher than our typical monthly spending there, so I won’t complain overly much.

Have you noticed prices at your favorite store going up?
